I'm an Asst. Professor of English at Brigham Young University and former Associate Editor of BYU Studies, the university's academic quarterly journal. Originally from Salt Lake City, I've lived in Quebec and Los Angeles and have spent extended periods in Britain and India on study abroad and field studies programs. I'm the author of two academic websites, Silva Rhetoricae: The Forest of Rhetoric (http://rhetoric.byu.edu) and the Mormon Literature Database (http://MormonLit.lib.byu.edu). I follow trends in digital scholarship and evolving media, while enjoying hobbies such as skiing, composing choral music, watching Bollywood movies and more serious foreign films, and spending time with my four sons and wonderful wife, Karen.
