Today I gave a presentation to the assembled library staff of the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University at their monthly "Town Meeting." Randy Olson (head librarian) invited me to present something on trends in Scholarly Communication along with some others. The result was this PowerPoint presentation, "Beyond the Digital Incunabular Period: Toward Web 2.0." If you're interested,
download it here (PowerPoint file, 2 Mb). At the conclusion of my PowerPoint I showed the incredible video promoting Web 2.0, "The Web is Us/ing Us" by Michael Wesch, Assistant Prof of Cultural Anthrolopology at Kansas State University. I highly recommend this video, which can be found below or on YouTube (though I recommend a higher resolution and more final version here --96 Mb Quicktime). You might also be interested in this interview with Dr. Wesch conducted February 18, 2007.
